Not too long ago an event occured that changed our lives for ever. After a long threat of hostilities, something finally happened. A small group from the eastern part of the world decided to strike at the heart of their enemies of the west. That September day they launched an attack that had not been seen before. The west was completely in shock as the security and joy they once had, was now gone. The west soon pointed fingers and easterners were publically tormented with out reprocutions. Soon it was found out who had purpetrated the attack and plans for revenge were laid out. The target was set and soon afterward they west took out those that were responsible for the tragedy of that September day. The west has had it's revenge and has been threatened since but thus far nothing of note has happen. The world has mourned for the west's loss but no one seems to want to let it ago, instead they relive the event every chance they get.

Mike was quite the ambitious moth, often going where no moths had ventured before in their instinctual drive towards light. As his other moth friends laughed and warned him of his perials, Mike found his way to a great source for lights, the Michigan State University campus. Students were up late studying and discussing the events of that day, with their giant flourescent lights on. Mike was in moth heaven and got lucky and managed to get into Case Hall using abilities never before seen by a moth. He moved from light source to light source in perpetuial bliss, winding up on the 6th floor. He shot into the rooms and was shooed out. Eventually he found his way into a very different room then those he had visted before. There were no large lights on, only the glow of the television. Not wanting to deny his cravings for light he darted behind the human inhabitant, towards the television and basked in it's light. The chance of being caught and his euphoric feelings from all the light he had basked in that day, had let him tired. Mike found himself a hidden place to rest and fell asleep. He awoke to find the room completely dark except for the inviting glow of the clock. He rushed into flight toward the clock , wanting to fufill his craving for the light. In his haste, Mike had forgotten about the fan in the room and flew directly into, killing him and leaving his carcass stuck in the bars of the fan. And so ends the story of Mike the moth.

The campus is really peaceful at night when the only people out are large groups of freshmen going to parties. If those 30 mins have not gone that way, I wonder if I'd be able to let go.
